Google Wallet Vs. Ebay’s Paypal
Jun 2nd
Items in the new system of online payment processing to Google revealed in June 2005. Speculation has been rampant as to when and if the new system would be released, but now it looks like a beta program will soon be made available.
Google Wallet, if successful, could become a viable alternative to eBay’s PayPal system. In October 2004, the entire system collapsed Paypal for five days, although Paypal insisted they were only “intermittent problems” that “would soon be addressed.” This break coupled with what many have long considered as terrible customer service problems, for example, chargebacks unauthorized accounts of members’, onerous taxes, and “customer-no-service”, has made time Google is particularly sweet.
Related to Google Wallet, Google is a recent entry that can take aim directly at the likes of eBay and Craig’s List and start an online auction / classified ad site.
All this is good news for you, the consumer, as competition heats up in wars of the payment processor. Stay tuned … these are interesting times we live in!
